Manganese Sulfate usually refers to the inorganic compound. This pale pink deliquescent solid is a commercially significant Manganese salt. It is the precursor to manganese metal and many other chemical compounds. Manganese-deficient soil is remediated with this salt.

Manganese sulfate is used primarily as a fertilizer and as livestock supplement where soils are deficient in manganese, then in some glazes, varnishes, ceramics and fungicides.
